With one of the largest flowers in the plant world – to 10”+ across – with ochre-yellow blooms centered and striped in red-maroon. Spineless, mostly upright succulent foliage forms robust clumps. Opening from big, balloon-like buds in late Summer to Fall, mature plants exhibit quite a few flowers at once. Ideal for hanging baskets or pots (shown here in a 10” pot) or as a houseplant, any well-drained soil is fine with a dose of fertilizer during the growing season.
