Not the common California poppy everyone is familiar with but a superior coastal form well worth adding to your garden or parking strip. Distinctively bluish and compact feathery foliage forms a lower, tighter mound only 6-8” tall and 12” across that stays neat and tidy throughout the season. It blooms longer than all the rest, too, (spring thru fall) with cheery, bowl shaped, sunny yellow flowers with showy orange centers. Perfectly partnered here with Nemophila menziesii ‘Snow White’. Once established they need little water. To maintain as a perennial, avoid watering once leaves begin to dry out. Cut back dead growth to the ground once you see a flush of new growth. Will easily self-sow if plants are left in place.
