Heavily layered & ruffled flowers have earned them the nickname of Silk Roses. Don't let the delicate look fool you; this plant can take the heat! Plants first send up 2-3' tall vertical foliage comprised of slender stems & narrow oblong leaves. From late spring to late summer, a multitude of stems each produce single flowers that are much sought after by bees & butterflies. Its pastel tones allow it to blend in nicely with your garden's more vibrant colors. Lisianthus is much in demand by floral designers for adding an elegant touch to an indoor arrangement. Not only are the flowers beautiful but they stand up very well.
