Prepare to be blown away by this absolutely exquisite spring thu fall prolificblooming salvia that attracts a kazillion hummingbirds and is drought tolerant, fast growing, and evergreen! Produces abundant masses of luminous magenta pink 2” fluted tubular blooms that grace the entire length of the tall (12-18”) maroon stems with new flowering spikes continuously popping up if spent bloom stalks are removed. The bushy foliage stays a perfect garden size at 3’x2.5’, making it great for large containers, rock gardens and traditional beds. Deer resistant! Stunning cut flowers! It does well in sun or part shade, wants well-draining soil, low water and some compost in Spring. Cut back by 1/3 in Winter for best form.
