We’re all in agreement – this pretty purple petticoat of a poppy is smashing! Frilly and fringed truly-fully-doubled lilac flowers with a darker center are held on long stems above grey-green foliage. Outer petals keep their cupped shape and cradle the inner petals, making for an excellent flower form. Growing to 3-4' high. Poppies like rich soil, a sunny position, and to be planted during the cool season (fall though early spring)! Those of you in colder zones should plant after your last frost, but here in the temperate Bay Area you can plant in the fall, for twice as many flowers come spring!

Stunning Poppy
Sugarplum Papaver is stunning and beautiful. I purchased it online a few years back. It reseeded and the plants were over 4 feet tall this year.
