A fantastic, easy to grow Spring-Summer bulb with extra showy, fringy white flowers. Attractive, erect, tulip-like foliage makes it fantastic for the edge of a bed or planted in a container (3 gal.+). 15” flower stalks emerge in late Summer topped by multiple blooms about 6” across with extravagantly long petals suspended from a small, fragrant, central corona. Individual flowers last only a day on the plant, but make surprisingly long-lasting cut flowers. Fruit follows, looking like a cluster of green balloons on a stick. Spreads over time. Surprisingly drought tolerant once established. Winter dormant.
