I love Veronica ‘Bushy Boy’! First of all, Veronica longifolia is just one of the best, most reliable and long lived perennials I grow in my own home garden and this variety is taken from the bushiest most floriferous plant we've seen here at the nursery. 3’ tall and 30” across - you get a gorgeous crowd of absolutely upright 6”-8” slender rich lavender-blue spikes atop an exceptionally dense (and handsome!) mound of bright green foliage. Fantastic for providing that all-important vertical element to any garden - even container gardens. You'll get lots of lovely cut flowers that, again, add fun verticality. Blooms late Spring to mid-Summer for about 1-1/2 months, then cut the whole plant back to 8” tall and ply it with a 1” side-dress of compost for a second round of bloom! Perfect with Roses, Dahlias, Geranium 'Rozanne'. Best in rich, well-drained soil. Side-dress with compost in early Spring. Deciduous.
