We're in love! Layer upon layer of the finest petals unfold revealing surprising depth to such softly hued flowers. Blooms capture an array of blushing pinks, antiqued creams, and subtle yellows. These sun lovers first form finely textured green foliage to 15" high, then put out a seemingly endless procession of fully double blooms. Ranunculus are cultivated to be ideal as long-lasting cut flowers. (Half Clone Ranunculus are bred from a combination of tissue culture and seeds, leading to their distinctive name.) Ranunculus can be planted in containers or in garden beds spaced 4” to 6” and at a depth of 1” to 2”. In zones 9 & 10, plant bulbs in well drained soils in fall for early spring blooms. In mild regions, dormant bulbs can be left in the ground. Elsewhere, bulbs can be planted in early spring for late spring into early summer blooms. In zones 8 and under bulbs can be lifted and stored to ensure years and years of beautiful blooms. Deer are typically not interested.
