Deergrass
One of the showiest grasses I know and certainly the most dramatic of California's native grasses. Excellent as a specimen plant or accent plant for dry gardens, it's also a great choice fro parking strips, driveway edging or a place no one feels like watering. Beautiful in a container too (15” or larger). Very drought tolerant, it flourishes with no Summer water. Growing 3'-4' tall its whip-like flower spikes are vertical when young, then arch out, giving the look of a straw-colored fireworks display. The spikes constantly move with the wind adding to the drama. Tolerates EXTREME CONDITIONS including HOT AND DRY and ROCKY SOIL.

My Favorite!
This is my Favorite Ornamental Grass! It's not only sturdy & undemanding, surviving heat & cold conditions & poor soil but it has a beautiful shape & is just the right height!!
