Lift your spirits with the true, sky blue flowers and graceful habit of this deer resistant, heat tolerant native of the western half of the US. Crowded, arching, branched stems up to 3’ long and slender foliage are topped with a long succession of lovely 1” blooms from Spring to mid-Summer. Grown from seed, so color is variable ranging from pale to dark blue. Looks lovely in dry landscapes with grasses but also in open perennial gardens, rock gardens and pots. Thrives in lean, dryish soil as well as garden-moist soil. Cut back to 4” in Fall. Lives for several seasons. Self-sows best in drier soil.
