The wild carrot, better known as “Queen Ann’s Lace”, has always been popular as a lacy filler in wildflower gardens as well as in flower arrangements. Found as a chance seedling, ‘Dara’ adds extra appeal by the entire 3” umbel opening deep red, then slowly fading to pink or, occasionally, can be just white. Growing to 3’ tall and 1’ wide, it looks best planted in groups for the multicolored effect, but it may be used individually and compliments other tall flowers or grasses. Adaptable to all soils in full sun. Very attractive to pollinators and the perfect Summer cutting flower for fresh bouquets. Dries well, too. Will reseed!
