This colorful addition to the Bandana series features flowers that open a honey yellow, and then mature to a rose pink. Each 3-4” wide bloom cluster has up to twenty 1/4” flowers much sought after by bees and butterflies. Plants first produce lightly toothed, fragrant, dark green 2” leaves on a compact mounding plant (12-15” tall and wide). Come summer, flower clusters sprout just above the foliage, eventually covering it entirely. Lantanas love the heat so it performs best in a sunny warm spot. Given a little regular water, plants will bloom well into the fall. They are perfect for adding pizzazz to any bed, are compact enough for containers, even hanging baskets, and can be used for an eye-catching low border. They are very drought tolerant once established so are a valuable addition to a dry garden bed. Evergreen in zones 9b and higher but can easily be grown as an annual in colder climates. They can handle poor soils but need good drainage, especially in winter. Deer resistant.
