A beautiful new Astilbe for mild Winter areas - reliably perennial up to USDA zone 10a (around the S.F. Bay). It also doesn’t mind a little dryness! The graceful, richly colored, rosy-purple plumes appear in late Summer - a welcome sight at that time of year, especially in the shade garden. Grows 40” tall and 25” wide. The attractive, rich green, divided foliage is tough and pest free. Thrives best in rich soil with lots of compost. If you plant it in sun, add a good layer of mulch so it won’t dry out too much. Excellent cut flowers you won’t find at the florists!
