When folks ask me if there is one perennial I highly recommend, I most always steer them towards Verbascums (“Mullein”) for their beauty and extreme easiness to grow. Truly “plant and forget,” they are not fussy about soil, are drought tolerant, deer and snail proof, grow in sun to bright shade. If you cut them back, they will re-bloom fairly quickly - plus they reseed. To sum it up, they make your garden look great with absolutely no work! This rare selection makes branching spikes of a rich, dark, violet-purple. To 30” tall.
Our priority is to deliver outstanding customer service, and we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction!
If your plants arrive damaged or fail to thrive within 30 days of receipt, we will gladly issue a store credit or refund for the original purchase price of the plants.

Little Powerhouse of a Flower!
First year was kind of ho-hum. Next year, it got the hang of putting out blooms. Following year, pretty wild and long-lasting flowers. Likes sun, some afternoon shade. Wants to be kept well hydrated.

Stayed green but never bloomed
I was very excited for this plant, but apparently it is shy. Leaves stayed green and vibrant all summer, just never bloomed. Maybe it will surprise me and come back in spring next year?
