It was love at first sight when I spotted this Sedum - it looks to be made up of masses of tiny green flowers frosted with blue powder. Growing to just 6” tall by 12” wide, this versatile plant is a lovely groundcover, rambling between rocks, cascading from a crack in a wall, or as a container specimen. An ideal choice for a low-water garden, but it’ll grow faster and keep a tidier form with average water. In Summer, white star-shaped flowers emerge, their ephemeral form creating a stunning contrast to the bold, succulent flower-like leaves. It’ll go deciduous in colder areas, but reliably comes back looking refreshed and invigorated in the Spring. For gardeners in warmer zones, this plant benefits from being cut back once or twice a year to keep it tight and tidy. Try it next to Scleranthus biflorus for outstanding groundcover contrast!
