My favorite red poppy! “Greek Poppy” just gives off “wildfloweryness” more than any other with its multitude of slender stems and profusion of the brightest, truest red flowers over a long period. Plant early and it will form a 20” x 20” mound of fluttering scarlet above neat, almost ferny foliage. Each 2.5” bloom displays showy black spots near the center. Combine it with Nemophila menziesii “Baby Blue Eyes” or Limnanthes douglasii “Meadow Foam” for wondrous effect!
Poppy Fans - As cool season growers, Papavers should be planted only when extreme heat or extreme cold is not anticipated!
