A chance seedling in a Berkeley Garden, this California Native Salvia hybrid has proven to be durable and disease resistant. Hummingbirds and pollinators will be overjoyed come Spring thru early Summer over the profusion of 6” periwinkle blue spikes of bloomy goodness on this ground covering sage. Growing up to 2’ high and 4-6 feet wide, the fragrant silvery grey foliage is great as a weed barrier as it forms a dense mat. It’s super crazy DROUGHT TOLERANT and it loves to mingle with other Summer water haters like Ceanothus, Manzanita, Ribes, Mimulus, and Monardella. Well-draining situations and part shade are ideal and necessary in hot inland locations.
