THE Mint for cooks in the know! One of the easiest herbs you can grow, “Lavender Mint” is ideal for savory dishes, lending itself especially well to meats and roasted veggies. This fast-growing groundcover boasts reddish stems and attractive dark green leaves. Reaching about 2’ tall and spreading to fill any available space - like all Mints, it can be rampant if left to its own devices, so it’s generally best grown in a container. Try spicing things up by planting it in a hanging basket, window box or strawberry pot, where its trailing stems can be seen to advantage. Produces pale purple flowers in Summer much loved by bees. Tolerates a wide range of soils, but prefers a moist, well-draining loam.
