A slug resistant Hosta with heavily textured, massive blue-green leaves with pronounced cupping! At maturity, specimens can reach 2’ high and 4’ wide making for a dramatic stand in a shady bed. Unlike some Hostas, this cultivar holds its color and shape, even in the hottest weather! Small hummingbird attracting white flowers appear on vertical stalks in early Summer. Great for adding texture to a shady or filtered sun bed and looks stunning when massed. Though it prefers a moist shady location, it’s tough enough not to wilt in the heat. Clip off unwanted leaves at the base. The extra thick leaves discourage slugs and snails once they’re full-size, but bait for snails when plants first return from their Winter dormancy in Spring to get them off to a good start. Divide every 3-5 years in either Spring or Fall.
