With its small florets atop long slender stems, this flavorful sprouting cauliflower displays a deep nutty taste and a more tender texture than traditional cauliflowers. Hailing from Japan, this 'stick cauliflower' is perfect for pickling, grilling and roasting, even for eating raw. A proven performer, this cauliflower reaches about 8” tall, with many branching stems off one center stalk. The cream-colored florets look great paired with broccoli's bright green heads, both in the garden and as braised vegetables. Tender stems can also be used in stir-frys. This cauliflower likes moderate heat (60-80 degrees F), so give it a bit of shade if your summers get very hot. Grow in fertile, well-drained soil. It combines well with other sun-loving vegetables or grow it separately in a pot. Matures in 60 days.
