A unique Winter-blooming shrub for shady gardens with rows of 1” urn-like flowers dripping from the undersides of arching branches. Dark red zigzag lines accentuate the pink, succulent, tubular flowers, making for one of the oddest but most charming blooms around. Grows to a modest 3’x5’ with small, lustrous, leaves that stay evergreen in temperate climates. Specimens form a gnarly caudex over time, giving this plant year-round appeal. Blooming begins in late Winter and continues well into the Spring. It does well in morning sun or bright shade and can also be grown in a large container. Plant in acidic, well-drained soil. Add compost in Winter. Prune to shape. Attracts hummers!
