No Mistake about it, this Rose is a complete DAZZLER! One of our very favorite Polyanthas, ‘Perle d’Or’ is a French Old Garden Rose, dating back to 1875, with a strong, sweet fragrance that FILLS the air! Unique apricot-hued buds open into wondrous, golden-glowing pink double blooms, with outer petals curling back on the stem. Extremely floriferous & enduring, multitudes of blooms appear on almost thornless canes Spring thru Fall, growing from an upright, twiggy form (to 6’ tall by 3’ across) with attractive, deep green foliage. Fabulous for container or bed, standing alone or on a garden structure, or trailing along a fence - it does fine in sand & even alkaline clay! Happiest in full sun, it most assuredly appreciates a bit of compost in early Spring. With fantastic advantages, it’s a small wonder that picky gardeners have been consistently choosing the prodigious ‘Perle d’Or’ for over 140 years.
