A new selection in the “Winter Jewels” series featuringlarge, semi-double blooms in a combination of magentas, sheer pinks and whites.Grown from seed, each plant is somewhat unique and can either be single, semi-double, or fully double, but all produce large, 3” white flowers heavily veined, speckled, and bordered in magenta, often with the smaller cupped nectaries at the center of each flower also a striking magenta color.Flowering in late Winter or earliest Springonce established, this colorful shade bloomer is sure to attract plenty of attention. Fairly sun tolerant in cool, coastal gardens where it can handle all but the heat of midday. In warmer, inland areas, plant it in dappled shade or just a bit of morning sun. The palmate foliage typically reaches 12-18” in height and gradually clump out. Top dress with compost in late Fall and trim off older leaves in October or November, allowing plants to put out lush new growth in December. Deer resistant.
