This rare hybrid Epiphyllum is one of the most beautiful and carefree orchid cacti you will ever grow! It first puts out cascading rows of soft, bright green saw tooth leaves in spring, then come late summer flushes out the most exquisite and fragrant flowers you can imagine. With rows of narrow petals, deep rose curving downward, then pink above and finally an upward fountain of pure white, there are few flowers that can match their beauty. Part of this cacti's charm is that flowers open in the evening and stay open all night till morning comes. Better yet, this 'Epi' does not require a winter chill to bloom. Most people will want to grow this orchid cactus inside, in bright indirect light. Add bloom fertilizer come late August to promote blooming. Mature plants will sport a dozen or more 4” flowers, making this one spectacular epiphyte. It grows quickly, with its branches reaching up to 18” in length. Plant in cactus soil or mix in generous amounts of pumice into potting soil. Water regularly but it is important that the soil dries out between drinks.
