Textural, flat & ferny, I’m really impressed with this very pretty & extremely easy groundcover for shade. To only 1” tall & at least 1’ across, it spreads congenially (without going bald in spots) & is perfect for growing between stepping stones, since it tolerates footsteps. Ever-black in our mild climate, it’s darkest with a bit of sun, showing some green in full shade. Quite shallow rooted, it tolerates clay & you can easily divide it & increase your supply. Deciduous in colder zones. New Zealand native.
