The Latin name Lampranthus means “shining flowers” Once you see these profuse, long-flowering succulents in bloom, you’ll understand how this garden favorite got its name. The Lampranthus plant is in the Ice Plant family, but Lampranthus is non-invasive! Flower color will vary from one selection to the next, but they are all incredibly resilient and easy to care for. Requiring little to no maintenance, this is a colorful and drought tolerant addition to any dry garden. It’s happy in cooler coastal areas, hotter inland areas, and works well in containers.
