Papaver nudicaule
‘Sherbet Mix’

A new mix of “Iceland Poppies” offering a selection of enticing shades of apricot, watermelon pink, cream or yellow. The massive 4” wide flowers possess a delicate, crinkled texture and lovely citrus scent. Forms a basal clump of green foliage that sends up 18” tall flower stalks. Great as a vase flower, especially if you cut them just before the bud opens. These sun lovers are a versatile addition to any garden. Flowers appear in March and continue through early Summer. Deadheading prolongs the blooming period. Easy to grow and needs only a little regular water. Massing in numbers will create an eye-catching display. Plant in full sun in fertile well-drained soil. Though this poppy is usually grown as an annual it may overwinter. Butterflies!
