Scabiosas, or Pincushion plants, are early Spring to Fall bloomers beloved by gardeners for their playful, colorful flowers which wave on tall stems atop mounds of pretty foliage. Easy to grow and a staple in cottage gardens, Scabiosa plants add bursts of vivid color with round flower heads blooming in colors ranging from purple, pink, red, and white. They are Perennials in mild climates but will grow as annuals in colder areas. Putting on their best show in full sun and well-draining soil, Pincushion flowers attract butterflies and other pollinators with their honey fragrance and rich nectar.
