Looking like the love child of a Daffodil and an Orchid, this tropical bulb boasts 4” wide, fragrant white central blooms surrounded by showy, elongated, tendrilly petals. Flowers emerge in Summer on 2’ tall stalks with 2-5 flowers held in clusters at the very top. Excellent in bouquets! The glossy, strappy leaves form a dense clump up to 2’ tall, spreading over time. Bulbs can easily reach baseball-size or larger, something to bear in mind if you plan on growing it in a pot (min. 10 gal.). Evergreen in warm Winter areas - it will go dormant with the first frost, at which point water should be withheld. Can be over-Wintered as a bare-bulb or in a container where not hardy. Can handle drought, but flowers and reproduces best with average to high water. Divide in Spring for freebies! Provide excellent drainage for a healthy plant.
