Achieving a colorful and tropical effect in a jiffy “Royal Trumpet Vine” is fast-growing, tough and vigorous, reaching 20’ x 20’ or more. Highlighted with a golden throat, the lustrous eye-catching 4-5” lavender-pink flaring trumpets are borne freely over a long late-Spring thru Fall season. As older blooms fade to light lavender you get a 2-tone effect. Glossy evergreen foliage is dense and handsome and clings by tendrils to a supporting wall or fence and is often used for growing up into trees. Long-lived and indifferent to humidity, average well-drained soil is sufficient. Hardy to 20 degrees F and will regenerate from roots if exposed to hard frost. Deer resistant.
