Dahlia

This latest entry in the Mystic Dahlia series features its trademark deep mahogany foliage, with stunning, brilliant magenta flowers. These 4” open-face flowers are magnets for bees, butterflies & hummingbirds & populate plants from late spring through early fall. The 5” segmented leaves offer a glossy sheen & add depth & glamour to a sunny bed. Though plants reach a full 30”H x 20”W, no staking is needed. This plant is ideal as a focal point, be it in the ground or in a container, where its upright flowers can really put on a show. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Water regularly during the growing season but once foliage has gone dormant, keep watering to a minimum. Treat any powdery mildew with copper fungicide.
