Much valued in Summer dry landscapes for so many reasons: It’s one of the most floriferous, HEAT and DROUGHT tolerant shrubs that’s perfectly happy in POOR, DRY well-drained soil, requires little to no Summer water (once established) and tolerates both inland and seaside conditions. Plentiful 3” hot pink, crepey, single rose-like flowers compliment the soft green foliage from early Spring to Summer and sporadically thereafter. Fast growing and a joy in the dry border with its upright, mounded, 4’x4’ habit, it’s a great choice for hillsides/erosion control and low maintenance areas. Cut back to 2’ after a few years to maintain bushiness. Butterflies! Deer resistant!
