One of the prettiest species tulips on the market, this low growing variety features pure white petals with eye-catching blue or purple centers. This early Spring bloomer reaches up to 6” tall with strappy leaves. The 3” semi-open-faced, star-shaped flowers are best appreciated when planted en masse in a small area or grown in a container. Over time, this hardy little tulip hailing from Turkey and Iran, will naturalize where happy. Plant bulbs 3” deep and 3” apart in well-drained soil. Add a bit of bulb food at the time of planting and water regularly during its active growing season. Goes dormant in the late Summer, during which time it prefers to remain dry – making it a great choice for a Mediterranean or no-Summer-water garden. Popular with bees. Deer resistant. Eye color may vary from baby-blue to periwinkle.
