Winter (Blooming) Wonderland!
What to plant right now for a Winter bloom-athon!

Here in coastal California, FALL is the BEST and most horticulturally correct time to plant! Why? Because our rainy season is almost upon us and during our mild Winters temperatures rarely go below freezing.

Knowing this, we always think how sad it would be to let the garden go bloomless all Winter. Especially when here along the coast there are so many plants that happily bloom year-round, putting a smile on your face and providing a Winter nectar source for hungry pollinators. Many Winter blooming annuals will even self-sow, returning again in Spring and beyond to spread their freebie love here and there!
