Heat Tolerant Hotties!
Plants that can take the sizzle – without the fizzle!

Temperatures are rising, sidewalks are sizzling – and plants are parched! Here in California, water is a precious resource not to be wasted ... so what's a responsible gardener to do?

Well, it's funny you ask since we have a nursery chock FULL of plants that can take the heat! Some are even a quadruple threat – drought, deer, heat and fire resistant. Adapting well to both coastal and inland gardens, we love these low maintenance superstars not only for their water-sipping ways, but their looong bloom times, longevity and reliability (they won't just up and die on you) and – of course – beautiful foliage and flowers!

IMPORTANT!! Give these beauties regular water until established – watering deeply every 3-5 days. Plant in the early morning or late afternoon and consider mulching around new plants to help retain water and keep the roots cool. Once Winter rains start, your hard work will pay off – they'll be ready to rock your dry gardens next season ... and beyond!
