Papvaver dubium
“Long-Pod Poppy”

Papvaver dubium “Long-Pod Poppy”

A delightful & hard to find annual poppy, probably because of its similarity to “Flanders Poppy” (P. rhoeas). But Papaver dubium's 2" flowers are more pinkish-red, and so perhaps easier to place in the garden. Would look lovely growing near some yellow Layia platyglossa “Tidytips” or setting off some blue-flowered Anagallis monellii with its rich, warm flower color. To 12-18" high & 9" wide.
