This scented perennial displays a continuous kaleidoscope of changing color, with flower spikes combining pale oranges, rose pinks and creamy whites. Clumps of delicate foliage soon yield tall flowering stems comprised of ascending circular bracts. These bracts soon sprout two-lipped flowers much beloved by bees and hummingbirds. Flower spikes get to 18” tall, compact enough to fit into any sunny bed. Highly scented foliage has a sweet, woodsy perfume. Blooming summer through early fall and easy to grow, this semi-deciduous hummingbird mint is a great way to add color and fragrance to sunny beds, to a container or for adding pizzazz to a pollinator garden. Multiple plantings make for a stronger floral presence. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in sun to light shade. Deadheading prolongs blooming. Deer resistant.
