Cotyledon orbiculata var. spuria
This wasn't quite what we expected, but it turned out to be a nice surprise! The only images we could find of this Cotyledon orbiculata var spuria on the web suggested it had narrow, lance shaped leaves. You can imagine our surprise when these turned out to have leaves like great big flapjacks! They're pretty, though, so why send them away? It might be wrong, but it's very nice. White, chalky leaves, some with an attractive red edge are the main feature – the 1' plus stems of downward facing orange tubular flowers in late Spring are a very nice bonus. Eventually shrub forming to 3' high and wide, This Cotyledon is drought tolerant and evergrey. From South Africa.
