Acacia cognata
'Cousin Itt'

Acacia cognata Cousin Itt

Destined to be this year’s “Itt” plant here at the nursery, this unique, dwarf and gorgeous DROUGHT TOLERANT Australian native draws countless comments when visitors see it growing here in our demo gardens. Like something out of a fantasy Japanese garden, very narrow, bamboo-like weeping creates a stunning, very dense, spreading, emerald green mound to 2’ tall and up to 4-6’ across. Use it as an easy evergreen focal plant in any well-drained garden. Superb for edging, draping over a wall, or even to create a fanciful front lawn replacement! Fab in a large container, too. Do water occasionally in Summer for best appearance. Deer resistant! Hardy to 15 degrees F.
