Hibiscus mutabilis 'Rubrum' NOT A TROPICAL HIBISCUS and one of my favorite July to Fall blooming “Flower Floozie” shrubs! Selected and cutting grown from our prettiest mother plant, this Chinese species enlivens the later season garden with extra large, 6”, cherry-centered, single pink flowers perfectly presented against a backdrop of large, lush, soft emerald green, poplar-shaped leaves. A spectacular bloomer and nicely branching to 6’x5’ (easily pruned shorter). Best in rich, loamy soil. More beautiful every year. Deciduous. Annie |
