Taste the monkey rainbow! I’m stoked about the range of colors available for our native monkey flowers. I’ve got a special place in my heart/garden for all the wild forms, but who can argue with a plant that has all the resilience of its wild cousins, but takes it up a notch with a snazzy color and larger flower? ‘Pamela’ has sweet creamsicle-colored, 1.5” blooms – lemony orange with a white edge and like its wild cousins, blooms over many months – mostly in Spring, but almost year-round. And what does it like? It would prefer to stay Summer dry once established (which means Summer semi-dormant) but with a little extra water it’ll stay green. If grown in regular garden conditions, good drainage is key. A magnet for hummingbirds and butterflies, great UNDER OAKS, CLAY TOLERANT and DEER RESISTANT. Cut back as needed. Grows 30" high and wide.
