The FIRST Dahlia we ever grew and still our most popular – to see this true wild Mexican species (not a hybrid) in person is to be in awe at its brilliant display! To 5'x5', it's THE most profuse blooming Dahlia. Intense red, single 4" flowers go nuts May-June till frost (with dead-heading). Most vigorous, too, it’s bushier and better every new season, mildew resistant and does NOT NEED STAKING! Adored by bumblebees and butterflies, do offer good garden soil and side-dress with compost twice a season for a sensational, long-lasting show! Wonderful partnered with annual 'Big Bear' Sunflower, annual 'Harlequin' Marigold, and Delphinum 'Blue Donna'. Can be grown in a large container (20 gal.+).
