Kniphofia hirsuta ‘Fire Dance’

If you love Kniphofias & are gardening on a small scale, you must have this plant! With its compact form & beautiful flowers, it works in a host of garden situations & also in a host of climates. It’s by far the hardiest Kniphofia that we grow! Sweet! The leaves are stippled with hairs that give them a rough feel & interesting appearance. The buds are a coral red fading to a soft yellow & the leaves tend toward a nice grey green.  Leaves mound to about 1.5’ & the flower spikes top out at about 2’. Great cut, a wonderful habitat plant & drought tolerant. Tolerant of many soils, but approves of some added compost. Great for a pot! Blooms periodically through the warm months.
