Kniphofia ritualis

Kniphofia ritualis

Oh, you know you want it! Because, how could you not lust after this super cool & fun dwarf alpine Kniphofia with long, pointy gnome-hats for flower-heads? To only 2’ tall in bloom & hardy to at least zone 6, it bears, from Summer to Fall, long lasting, fascinating, acid green & vermilion blooms on upright, chubby stems. Forms a nicely shaped, compact clump of stiff, grass-like leaves to 3’ for added spiky interest! Hummers & butterflies adore the flowers & birds love the seeds that follow! Spreads slowly & makes a fabulous container mascot you’ll love showing off! Best in rich, well drained soils, but tolerates clay soils without qualm. Will re-bloom if deadheaded. Deer resistant! Hardy to -10° degrees F!
