Moraea huttonii ![Moraea huttonii]() A surprisingly easy & hardy South African bulb. Forming a large tuft of long evergreen, arching leaves, it grows to 3’ tall, producing many strong, upright stems bearing lots of sweetly scented, Iris-like flowers. The petals display rich yellow & brown nectar guides & a purple blotch on the style crest. Bloom time is April thru June. The foliage will remain evergreen unless frozen (23 degrees) but will reemerge again in Spring. Hardy in Denver, Colorado. Easily grown in rich, well drained soil. Annie |
