The 1–1.5" blooms can completely engulf the low spreading mound of scalloped foliage, creating a soft, luminous carpet for borders, containers, bulb plantings, and woodland-edge gardens.

This charming annual is especially lovely mixed with Nemophila ‘Penny Black’, meadowfoam, red poppies, or spring bulbs, where its clean white flowers add brightness and contrast. It makes a wonderful edging plant, a pretty container filler, and a delightful cover around tulips or other spring bloomers. The easy, self-sowing habit adds to its old-fashioned garden appeal.

In mild-winter climates, sow or plant it for the cool season rather than asking it to endure summer heat. Its spreading habit is typically about 6–8 inches tall and roughly 12–15 inches wide—just enough to make a luminous little pool beneath taller spring flowers.
