| Glaucium flavum aurantiacum
“Horned Poppy”
An absolutely great foliage plant for the garden. Easy, drought tolerant & not fussy about soil, “Horned Poppy” makes a mound of unusual, deeply cut, curly kind of silvery-gray foliage that provides nice contrast in the garden. In late Spring thru Summer, it bears branching stems of shiny, golden yellow, single poppy flowers followed by really long seed pods (up to 1’!). I’ve had a “Horned Poppy” in my garden for 3 years & I’ve never had to cut it back or fertilize it, it just always looks good. To 18" high & wide.
