Aloe humilis “Spider Aloe”
Wee rosettes, perfect for LOW WATER containers & petite garden spaces, doesn’t mean wee flowers for this BIG BLOOMING hedgehoggy Aloe. Stemless rosettes, 6-12” high & wide bust out bunches of 8-14” tall spikes with 1.5” long tubular, orangey-red blooms late-Winter through Spring, just when you’re itching for some flower action in the garden. Even when it’s not in bloom, the blue-green, tubercule (funky bump) covered leaves add an unusual texture to any space & will continue to reproduce via offsets forever & ever. Hooray for free plants! Good drainage is the key ingredient for success. Native to South Africa.
