A profuse Spring bloomer with 1-2” wide soft yellow daisy flowers, very fringy & cheery.  Unlike our regular form of Madia elegans, the flowers stay open in full afternoon sun & it is also shorter (2-3 feet), delicate in appearance and has a rounded shape instead of growing upright. Spring Madia blends in well with other low-growing plants & it can even be planted at the front of borders. Popular with bees & goldfinches love the seeds. Not popular with the deer. Original to grassy sites in CA and Oregon, it is not fussy about soil or water & it is likely to re-sow.
