Totally bloomerific, this well-behaved, ground-covery succulent is easy as pie & some claim it’s even hardy down to zone 4 in a protected spot, but I think zone 5 is a safer bet. To 2” tall at the most & filling out into a dense, rich green, weed suppressing mat – 24” across – it’s super awesome for trailing over the edge of a bed & simplifying bare spots. Heat tolerant & fuss free, it blooms big in Spring – lesser thru Summer – with a second big flush in Fall. Bright magenta, yellow-eyed flowers are 1.5-2” across. Intermingle with equally matting & well behaved Delosperma nubigenum for textural interest! Give good drainage & a boost of compost once a year. Would be neat in a hanging basket! Deer resistant!
